  • DOES CROSSVILLE/CUMBERLAND CO. PROVIDE GARBAGE COLLECTION? Provided for Crossville and Cumberland County residents by Cumberland Waste Disposal (CWD), residential collections are made once weekly. For more information, call 456-2434. County residents may also utilize the convenience centers which are conveniently located throughout the county or subscribe to a private collection service.

  • WHERE DO I REGISTER MY VEHICLE? New citizens have 30 days to purchase Tennessee license tags from the County Clerk Motor Vehicle Department, Cumberland County Court House. The cost of the license plate is $34.50. For additional information, call 484-6442.

  • WHERE DO I GET MY DRIVERS LICENSE? Your Tennessee drivers license may be obtained at the Drivers License Testing Center, 31 Daniel Drive. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. For additional information, call 484-1360.

  • WHERE DO I REGISTER TO VOTE? You may register to vote at the Election Commission Office, located in the Milo Lemmert Building. For additional information, call 484-4919.

  • WHAT ARE THE LAWS FOR OBTAINING A MARRIAGE LICENSE? Be the legal age of 18, have a valid drivers license or birth certificate, social security card, and $92.50 fee, unless both parties attend a marriage counseling session, in which case the fee is $32.50. For more information, call 484-6442.

  • WHAT MEDICAL FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC USE? Cumberland Medical Center, located at 421 South Main Street, in Crossville, 484-9511. Emergency Ambulance Service, 484-1333 or 911. Cumberland County Health Department, 484-6196. There are five medical clinics.

  • WHERE DO I REGISTER MY CHILD FOR SCHOOL? Cumberland County Schools require a birth certificate, social security card and a health certificate on admittance to kindergarten or first grade. A child enrolling in school for the first time will need immunization, a complete physical, and must be five years old by September 30. Schools are zoned.
