Chamber Business Opportunities

The Crossville-Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce provides multiple business opportunities for you to build your business within the area. These opportunities allow you to participate in committees and educational seminars, market your business, receive Chamber referrals and advocate for business within our area.

CHAMBER COMMITTEES

Members may participate in our active and dynamic committees and task forces, covering a wide range of interests including Economic Development, Tourism Development and Membership Development.

CHAMBER MEMBER MAILING LABELS

Members may request a set of Avery mailing labels ($25.00). The list provides complete direct mailing information of Chamber members, allowing you to develop a database of business prospects.

BUSINESS REFERRAL SERVICE

Each week hundreds of referrals of Chamber members are given to tourists, those interested in relocating to the Crossville area, the business community and the general population which are all potential customers for you. Current Chamber Members are always referred to these inquirers. In addition, more than 250 relocation packets, which include Chamber member information, are distributed each month.

PROMOTIONAL DISPLAY

Members can display their cards and promotional materials in the Chamber office for exposure to thousands of people yearly.

TAX DEDUCTIBILITY

Membership in the Chamber is 100% tax-deductible as a necessary business expense.

CERTIFICATES OF ORIGIN

The Chamber provides necessary documentation free to members for overseas shipments.

RESOURCE CENTER

Information resources are available through the Chamber – examples include a community calendar, community demographics, clubs’ and organizations’ list, major employers/industrial directory, local, area, state and national government contacts, local and state maps, traffic count maps, statewide visitor information and business start up kits.

ADVOCATE FOR BUSINESS

The Chamber is the voice of the business community in local, county, and state issues. The Chamber represents the business community in problem solving, promoting economic development, etc. As the voice of the business community, the Crossville-Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce has instituted vital programs such as Live Local – Shop Local, Economic & Industrial Development efforts and promotions. The programs and promotions include Leadership Cumberland, SEO Optimized webpage, establishment of the Crossville-Cumberland County Convention and Visitors Bureau with FAM Tours, publication of a golf and tourism brochure and the Legislative Breakfast. These programs and services will continue to grow with the Chamber membership.

STRENGTH IN PROGRAMMING

The Chamber is the voice of the business community in local, county, and state issues. We representing the business community in problem-solving, promoting economic prosperity, etc. The Chamber has been the advisor on many community issues and projects.  

  • The Chamber has obtained approval of matching grant funds from the Department of Tourism Development for our partnership in promoting Crossville-Cumberland County tourism. The tourism impact was $132.1 million in 2019.
  • Retiree recruitment is a proven positive economic development segment to the area. The Chamber participates in programs such as retirement expos in various parts of the country and advertisements in senior/ retirement publications in Tennessee and targeted national locations. These efforts have resulted in being recognized in Where to Retire, Ideal Living, Choose the Right Place Guide, Ohio Magazine, Travel 50 & Beyond, and more. 
  • Our area is recognized as one of the top ten business friendly cities in Tennessee and the fasting growing rural community in Tennessee. 
  • We participate in numerous golf shows in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. The Chamber distributes the Crossville-Cumberland County golf guides at these events and promotes both tourism and relocation to the area. 
  • We are recognized as one of the top micropolitan areas in Tennessee – a rural county who’s largest city is less than 50,000.

RETIREE RECRUITMENT

Leads for retiree recruitment are gathered from the Retire Tennessee Program, telephone calls, and the Crossville-Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce website. These leads receive mailings with our Lifestyle Magazine, a complimentary county map, and several other items of interest. This is our way of letting retirees know that “It’s Just Better Here”!
