Special Chamber Programs & Events

The Crossville-Cumberland County Chamber sponsors several programs and events each year to give you additional opportunities for networking, marketing your business and getting involved in the community.

Is a seven month program designed to expose participants to all sides of important issues and opportunities. One day sessions are held from January thru July. The group chosen to participate in Leadership Cumberland will include a cross section of people representative of the community. The nominees should possess leadership ability, interest in the community, willingness to fully participate and potential for long term residence.

The annual membership meeting event features a program and recognition of the Chamber officers and directors. Average attendance of 150+ makes for a good networking opportunity for your business.

The Legislative Breakfast event held in January allows legislators representing Cumberland County an opportunity to present an update on pending and proposed legislation.

Annually the Chamber launches this campaign to encourage local spending. Why shop locally? Why not go somewhere else and shop? Why not go somewhere else and do business? Because, shopping locally helps support the community and its many activities. Local businesses support the many activities in the community with thousands of dollars in contributions every year to help make it a better place. Money spent away, stays away and doesn’t help support scout groups, churches, baseball leagues and the many other organizations and activities that make our community a better place for everyone. Support the community by supporting the ones who help the community grow-local businesses.

The Live Local – Shop Local Program has resulted in increased sales tax revenue. An increase in these dollars results in more jobs, higher wages and a better standard of living for area residents.
