  • REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE, RESPOND:

    Recycling is one component of our local government's strong commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy environment. A permanent drop-off site, the Cumberland County Recycling Center is managed through the Solid Waste Department and is located at 96 Maryetta Street, off Highway 70 North.  The center accepts cardboard, appliances, metal, glass, household junk, oil, aluminum, plastic, batteries, newspapers and tires for recycling. There are 15 Convenience Center locations throughout Cumberland County. Each location accepts different materials for recycling.   • UTILITIES:

    Volunteer Energy Cooperative, 235 O'Brien Drive, 484-3527. For new connections, a credit check is required and a $300.00 deposit (if applicable).  The deposit will be refunded after thirty six months.  There is also a one-time $30.00 connection fee and a $5.00 membership fee that is refunded after service is disconnected.

  • DOES CROSSVILLE/CUMBERLAND CO. PROVIDE GARBAGE COLLECTION?

    Garbage collection is provided by Cumberland Waste Disposal (CWD) for Crossville and Cumberland County residents.  Collections are made once weekly; for more information call 456-2434.  County residents may also utilize the convenience centers which are conveniently located throughout the county or subscribe to a private collection service.   • WHERE DO I REGISTER MY VEHICLE?

    New citizens have 30 days to purchase Tennessee license tags from the County Court Clerk Motor Vehicle Department; located at 2 North Main Street, Suite 206; in the Cumberland County Court House.  The cost of the license plate is $35.00, which includes a one time registration fee of $24.00.  For additional information, call 484-6442.

  • WHERE DO I GET MY DRIVER'S LICENSE?

  • Tennessee driver’s license may be obtained at the Drivers LicenseTesting Center; located at 136 Dooley Street.  Hours of operation are Monday – Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  For additional information, call 484-1360.

  • WHERE DO I REGISTER TO VOTE?

    You may register to vote at the Election Commission Office; located at 2 South Main Street, Suite 105; in the Milo Lemmert Building on Main Street directly across from the Cumberland County Courthouse. For additional information, call 484-4919.

  • WHAT ARE THE LAWS FOR OBTAINING A MARRIAGE LICENSE?

    Be the legal age of 18, have a valid driver's license or birth certificate, social security card, and $92.50 fee, unless both parties attend a marriage counseling session, in which case the fee is $32.50. For more information, call 484-6442.

  • WHAT MEDICAL FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC USE?

    Cumberland Medical Center, located at 421 South Main Street, in Crossville, 484-9511.  Emergency Ambulance Service, 484-1044 or 911.  Cumberland County Health Department, 484-6196. Cumberland County Rescue Squad, 484-9143.  There are numerous medical, specialty and surgical clinics along with 75 physicians and 19 dentists to serve the residents. The ambulance service provides both emergency and inter-facility transportation for area residents.

  • WHERE DO I REGISTER MY CHILD FOR SCHOOL?

    Cumberland County Schools require a birth certificate, social security card and a health certificate on admittance to pre-k, kindergarten or first grade. A child enrolling in school for the first time will need immunization, a complete physical, and must be five years old by September 30. Children enrolling in the pre-k program must be four years old by September 30. Schools are zoned.
